Wavel Mary Wilde Kellogg Bernard, 96, of Nampa, Idaho passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Nampa. Visitation and viewing will be from 9:00am to 9:45am, and funeral services will be at 10:00am on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Nampa L.D.S. 19th Ward, 3007 Sunny Ridge Road in Nampa. Wavel was born October 10, 1920 to Albert A and Ethel Peck Wilde in Lincoln, Idaho.  She attended Melba Schools. She married Elza Kellogg in 1939. They resided in Melba, Mt. Vernar, Oregon, and Nampa. She was the Manager of the Albertson’s Deli for 24 years and worked in Accounts Payable for 10 years.

 

Wavel married Clarence Bernard in 1996.  Her hobbies were cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nampa 19th Ward.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Gregory) Hendrichs, of Nampa; daughter-in-law, Gloria Kellogg of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Clotele Wilde Armstrong of Gilbert, Arizona; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Peck; father, Albert Wilde; husband, Elza Kellogg; 2 sons, Merle Kellogg and Eldon Kellogg; husband, Clarence Bernard; 10 siblings; and one great grandson, Maxwell Kellogg.

 

Wavel was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all. She loved working at Albertson’s and was known as a ray of sunshine to all who came in contact with her.
