My thoughts and prayers to the family of George Koyama. Mr Koyama resided in the same center as my aunt who went to school with him. Whenever I went to visit my aunt Mr. Koyama would be sitting at the table in the dining room and greeted me with that wonderful smile. He gave us several beautiful origami pieces he would construct. I have a flower and several cranes in my home. I am thankful I had the opportunity to meet such a lovely man.

George Koyama and I are former classmates of the Nampa High School Class of 1941. We have been able to attend all the reunions of our class with my wife Gerry and his wife Midori and we will now be missing both of them. We are unable to attend his funeral as we will be traveling to Utah on that day to attend a farewell for our twin grandsons who are leaving for LDS missions to Romania and Italy. I want his family to know how much I have enjoyed being his friend and class mate. There is no finer example of a wonderful human being and friend and we will miss him. Bill & Gerry Winter

I went to grade school, one through five, at Roosevelt with Joe and my sister, Marian Leisy of Boise went to school with Yasuko. We lived at 1116 11 Ave. So and moved to Mackay in 1935. We have fond memories of our association with the Koyama family. They were a wonderful family. I have many friends who served in Italy with the 442nd. God bless you all.

I have very fond memories of George, Mae and the rest of the family. I was their neighbor in Nampa back in the 60s. Thank you for the memories and you will be missed. My condolences to the Koyama family. Sharon and Jack Cassity

My deepest condolences to George's family on their loss. Although I have met George only a few times, when we visited Joe and Mae in Nampa, George was always very humble and gracious and hospitable. ....Bob and Aki Moriguchi

Thank you, Mr. Winter. I know he valued your friendship over the years as well. He really enjoyed going to all of the Class of '41 reunions over the years.
