It was a pleasure to know Burke and help him care for him. I loved stopping by his room to talk with him, see if he was working on a painting or just to say hello and see if he needed anything. He was always very appreciate and gracious and made my days at work better just to get to see his face light up!

I know Burke through Karcher Church. He was in choir and played for evening services. It wasn't enough for him to sing, he often took roll and was the choir librarian. His faithfulness was an inspiration to us all. May your memories surround you and our hope of heaven give you peace.

Dear Family of Burke,

I would like to convey my condolences to all of you. I know you miss Burke very much. My prayers will be for you in the coming days and months that you will be comforted, knowing he is with God.

My sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Ralph Sanford, and my son, J.D., and I enjoyed our visit at the care center with Burke not too long ago. We looked at his paintings on the walls and thought about how greatly talented he was.

Before leaving, Janet held his hand and we prayed together with him. I'm so glad we took that opportunity to see him again and to share with him for a few minutes some fond memories.

Perhaps your folks and our folks are together right now praising God. I can just picture them: Grace is playing the piano or organ and Dean is singing or playing a guitar or violin -- and telling jokes.

"When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!"

In Christ,

Judi
