William (Bill) James Johns, 65, of Cascade, ID formerly of Nampa, ID died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise.

Bill was born on May, 11, 1952 to Walter S. and Ruth B. Johns in Seattle, WA.

Bill attended Nampa schools and graduated from Nampa High in 1970. After attending BSU he went onto work for UPRR at the Roundhouse. He also worked as a machinist before becoming a logger.

Bill and Lillian Morris married in June of 1973 in Superior, NE they later divorced in 2002, at which time he moved to Cascade. Bill really loved the mountains and his dogs Bobby and Bo who were with him in Cascade.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth B. Johns; two brothers, Thomas M. Rogers, his wife Lillie, and Walter S. Johns Jr.; and his ex-wife Lillian Johns, all of Nampa. He is also survived by three nieces and three nephews and their children.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Walter S. Johns Sr. and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
