William Joseph Foss

William "Bill" Joseph Foss left this earth too soon at the age of 62 on Tuesday, September 15th, of health complications due to a long struggle with alcoholism.

From his birth in Michigan, he was a bright man with big dreams and accomplished many of them at a young age. His older brother described him as a "firecracker" of a young man. Very Intelligent, always curious, and always testing his limits. This transcended into his adulthood as well.

He earned his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Administration from The General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan and after graduating moved to the sunny beaches of San Diego where many times he had called it "The best city in the world".  
He enjoyed exploring the city and loved to tell stories about his days at "The Playboy Club" and having a wild time with his friends.
Bill married at 26 and had two daughters, Jessica and Cristi. He bought his first home in Olivenhain, California and owned multiple businesses from Fantastic Sam's to liquor stores, laundromats and restaurants (to name a few!)
 He had a keen eye for scouting new locations and building new franchises. He won many sales awards and broke records. This was his true passion, and he was brilliant at it.
His daughters were his pride and joy and he took them on fun adventures on the weekends. Spoiling them was one of his favorite things to do.
As his daughters became adults, he began to spend more time with his friends in Huntington Beach; another one of his favorite places. He had fond memories there and met his lifelong friend, Angie. He spent a lot of time and holidays with her wonderful family.
Bill enjoyed watching college Basketball (GO BLUE) and Football (GO Chargers!) with his friends, and playing trivia where he was always in the lead.

Many describe him as boisterous and giving. He loved to surprise people with drinks, meals, gifts, even cash. He helped out his friends when they needed it.

He had a great way of making an entire room laugh, even if his jokes were not always politically correct!

Bill is survived by his daughters, Jessica and Cristi, his son in laws, Michael and Chuck, his loving grandchildren Max, Cameron, and Molly, his brother and sister-in-law Bob and Lori, nephews Matt and Brandon, cousins, and many, many friends.
