William Henry (Willie) Beam, 57, of Nampa, passed away on February 17, 2018.

Born to Harvey and Jean Beam in 1960, he was raised on a dairy in south Nampa. He attended Nampa Schools. He was married for several years to Elizabeth Page of Nampa, which resulted in divorce. At this time he moved to Yakima with his brother, Jim. With the exception of a 10 year span when he resided with Jim and Rose and family in Yakima, Willie spent his life in the Nampa area.

While in Yakima he worked for West Coast Bedding making many friends there, until the family's return to the Caldwell farm. After return to Idaho, he held several jobs locally. 

Some of his accomplishments included his participation in Special Olympics in which he earned several awards for which he was always proud. Willie could always be found “fixing” (tinkering) something, anything from bikes, lawnmowers, and model cars.

His later years were spent in Nampa in group homes, with inclusions, where he made a great many friends with staff and roommates alike. His smile and laugh were infectious and it would be hard not to respond in kind.

Willie was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, one older brother and his youngest sister, Jeannie. He is survived by his older brother, Jim (Rose) of Caldwell and brother, Ray of Idaho and several beloved aunties. He was also “Uncle Willie” to many nieces and nephews.

A public viewing with be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho. Services will be held at the funeral chapel at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 21 2018 with graveside services immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
