Vera Fay Bergman

Vera Bergman was born March 16, 1929 to Clara and Calvin Waldemer in Pisgah, Iowa.  She had four brothers – Dale, Melvin, Lloyd, Lawrence and two sisters – Lila and Margaret.

She attended school in Wilder, ID.  She married Harrison Gentry in 1944.  They had four children – Norma Jean, Gary Lee, Randy (Otis Ray) and Douglas Gayle.  Vera and Harrison were divorced and he died in 1981.

In 1975, she married Eugene Bergman.  Vera and her children welcomed Genes four children into their family – Gene Jr., Michael, Betsy and Sarah.  After retirement, Gene and Vera moved from Seattle to Nampa, ID.

Gene passed away in Starbuck, WA in 2013.  Vera spent the last few years living at Heron Place Assisted Living in Nampa where she passed away on July 3, 2018.

Vera was a devoted Christian and was looking forward to spending eternity with Jesus and her family members who had gone before her.

She is survived by six children and step-children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651 with a reception to follow in the funeral chapel community room.
