Our Son, Baby Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend, Tuaimeiuta Si’i Latu, a.k.a. Jay, was taken from us unexpectedly on Friday, August 13, 2021 while camping with the church in the mountains of Idaho. He was surrounded by people who loved him when he suddenly collapsed due to cardiac arrest. He was only 29 years old, full of life, full of love, and full of ambition.
He is survived by his loving parents, Diana and Tuai Latu; brothers, Edwen, Lanita and Kahekina; sisters, Emeline, 'Afitia, Seini, Napua, Lesila and Kuuipo; many nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and countless friends.
Tuai Si’i was born in Tongatapu on March 11, 1992 and raised in the village of Ha’ateiho. He graduated from Liahona High School in November of 2010 and moved to Arizona in 2011. He served a full-time mission from 2013 to 2015. He returned to Arizona and worked as a Manager at McDonalds until August 2, 2021, when he decided to move to Idaho to spend more time with his parents and begin a new chapter in his life.
His celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 21, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1500 Smith Ave. in Nampa, Idaho. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM with a service following at 11:00 AM.
