Stanley Harrison White

Stanley H. White passed away March 22, 2019 at the age of 59.

Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Stan was born June 24, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Douglas and LaRue White. He was the youngest of four children. He married Donna Shearer in 1978 and had two sons.

As a young man, Stan enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, camping, fishing, and golfing. He started working at Arctic Circle Restaurants Inc. as a teenager in the Salt Lake City valley. In 1981, the family was transferred to Lander, Wyoming, where he was an active member for Jaycees and was on the school board.

Purchasing the franchise for the Nampa Arctic Circle in 1996, the family moved to Idaho, trading in snowdrifts and moose in the parking lot for outdoor basketball in January. Later he purchased the franchises for the Payette and Caldwell Arctic Circle. He enjoyed getting to know, and making friends with his guests, and making balloon animals for kids. He became a second father to many of his employees. Over the years, he received numerous awards for his dedication, including Arctic Circle’s Life Time Achievement Award.

There was so much more that made Stan who he was: smart, caring, generous, compassionate, genuine, honest, original, and humorous. He could always make you laugh and think. He had such a deep love for family and friends.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Claudine. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Terry (Katie) White and Cody White; grandchildren, Cassie, Lily, and Sam; brothers, Kevin (Ida) White and Dean (Laurie) White.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
