Rosemary A Martin

Mrs. Rosemary (Aman) Martin, of Nampa, ID, passed away on Friday, December 10th, 2021 at the age of 85. Born in Wendell ID, to Dick and Edith Aman, she moved to Kuna, ID where she spent her early childhood and graduated from Kuna High in 1954. The next four years were spent at Northwest Nazarene College, Nampa, majoring in Elementary Education and graduating in 1958 with a degree in the same. While attending NNC, she served as Homecoming Queen, was in the Who's Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities, and met and eventually married Dan Martin on January 2nd, 1958. 

Rosemary loved music and was a singer in the Victory Vocalaires, a traveling Quartet representing her college. In later years she would play piano and organ in her church and was actively involved in other church ministries in the Nazarene churches of Payette and Nyssa, and in Nampa as a member of the College Church of the Nazarene. Rosemary retired from the Nyssa, OR, School District in 1993 with her husband and enjoyed retirement years traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and gardening, especially tending to her rose garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Edith Aman, and brother Russell Aman of Nyssa OR. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dan Martin recently of Caldwell, two children; daughter, Melanie (Martin) Johnson and her husband Ernest Johnson, and son, David Martin, all of Nampa ID; Four grandchildren; Camille Johnson (Boise), Bethany Johnson (Caldwell), Jacob Johnson (Florence, OR), Chris Martin and wife Niki (Nampa) and one great grandchild Sophia Rose, daughter of Bethany.

She is also survived by her brother Wes Aman and his wife Joanie of Leavenworth, WA, and Sister-in-law Linda Aman, of Nyssa OR. Rosemary was a beautiful soul who loved the Lord and desired to know Him more and more, and to make Him known to all she met. Her talents were many, among which were, being a beloved wife, a mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed this side of eternity. Services for Rosemary will be held at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave S. Nampa, on Friday December 17th, 2021 with visitation beginning at 10 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
