Richard L White

Richard L. White, lifelong resident of Nampa, passed away on April 2, 2021 at the age of 90.

Richard was born in Twin Falls, Idaho to Lois and Lon White on August 10, 1930. He was the oldest of three children born to the family. He lived in Caldwell where he joined the National Guard. While in Ogden, UT he met the love of his life, Barbara. They eventually married in 1951, and built a life together, and raising four children; Edward, Gary, Robert, and Doug.

Richard worked for 35 years at the Northwest Nazarene University as the Food Service Director. He was an avid gardener, and loved to fish. He held several church positions, many of which involved the Scouting program.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons, Edward of Kuna, ID, Gary of Parma, ID  and Doug of Lewiston, ID; brothers Dell White of Idaho Falls, ID and Danny White of Sacramento, CA; 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Lon and Lois White; and his son, Robert, and his granddaughter Christy Huston.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 11:00 am -1:00 pm at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 -10th Ave South, Nampa 83651. A graveside will follow at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens 15862 Indiana Ave, Caldwell, ID.
