Richard Earl Carver

Richard Carver 69 was born October 28, 1951 and passed away on August 28, 2021 at a Boise hospital after a long battle with heart disease. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ray and Phil. Richard is survived by his wife of 49 years Susan; daughter Corina Roe (Shane) and grandchildren Morgan and McKenna (who were the apples of his eye) of Emmett. He is also survived by his only living brother David Carver (Neil) of Caldwell and their family as well as his sister-in-law Brenda Carver of Caldwell. Richard grew up in southern California before enlisting in the Navy in 1970 and served two West Pac Cruises off the coast of Viet Nam on board the USS Blue Ridge. He had many different jobs during his working career, but the most satisfying one to him was the last 12 years he served as a correctional officer for the Idaho Dept. of Corrections before retiring in 2010. Richard enjoyed taking vacations over to places like Yellowstone National Park as well as taking day trips to the many scenic places around Idaho. He was an avid Packers fan and loved working in his yard, tinkering on projects in the garage and spending time out on the patio on pleasant days listening to music. His family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared and helped in many ways. No funeral service is planned at this time, but is to be held at a future date.
