Paul Vernon Bates was born June 25th, 1941, and passed away on June 28th, 2021. He was born to Buenta Dennis Bates and Paul Bates in Nampa, Idaho. He attended schools in the Nampa area.
He joined the Army, and served at the DMZ in Korea, Germany and the United States. He worked as a boiler fireman at Idaho Animal, then spent 15 years at ISSH. At the time of his passing, he worked for A&R Case Management. He left an impact on many people's lives, whether it be the ladies at the bank, the grocery store clerks, or the restaurants he often frequented, he was loved by many.
Paul married Jackie on September 24th, 1966, and 4 children were born to them, Paul Thomas, Mark Wesley, Eric Vernon and Beth Nicole.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Carol Small, and grandson Jaxen Slater. He is survived by his wife, children, 12 grandchildren; Tara, Britany, Arron, Caitlyn, Amberly, Stephen, Leland, Matthew, Ethan, Sarah, Grace and Hope; and 3 great-grandchildren; Amelia, Christian and Jonas, along with numerous cousins, nieces, sister-in-laws, and a brother-in-law.
