Patrick Harlan Benson

Patrick Benson, 73, of Nampa, Idaho went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 9th, 2022 at his home after a long illness with cancer.

Patrick was born in Culver City, CA on February 28th, 1949, the son of DeVere and Estelle Benson.

Patrick graduated from Leigh High School (San Jose, CA) Class of 1967. He was an avid motorcycle racer and took part in the family electrical business. In 1978 Patrick met the love of his life Janet and in July 1980 the two were married in Boise, Idaho.

Making their home in Nampa, Idaho, Patrick was the owner of Benson’s Minuteman Machine and was also a local gunsmith. Patrick enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors and enjoyed many hunting, camping, fishing and shooting trips with his family and children.

Patrick had a heart for ministry and was very involved in his church for over 40 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Janet Benson, his children Jason Barnhart (Cheryl) Frisco, TX, Jeremy Barnhart (Shawnicy) Lower Lake, CA, Nathan Benson (Erica) Nampa, ID, Jared Benson (Jasmine) Nampa, ID, Darryl Benson Boise, ID, Nikkole Weninger (Morgan) Richland, WA. He is also survived by his brother Daniel Benson Prescott, AZ, numerous nieces and nephews and 20 grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Saturday March 26th, 2022 at New Home Baptist Church, 1829 W Iowa Ave; Nampa, ID 83686.
