Patricia Mae Lacey age 76, passed away peacefully from the end stages of Alzheimer’s disease on November 6, 2017, at 4:30 pm. Patricia was born on January 5, 1941 in Nampa, Idaho. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1959, and married Bernard Lacey in April of 1960. They later divorced, but from this marriage came two children; Steve and Lorinda. Patricia had various careers throughout her lifetime including cosmetology, airport security, and home improvement sales. She attended BSU on and off over the years, then obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from U of I when she was in her 50’s. Patricia was a very artistic person, especially enjoying oil painting. She also greatly enjoyed having a beautiful flower garden. Patricia is survived by brothers Delmer Comstock and Ernest Comstock, her son Steve Lacey and wife Heather from McCall ID, daughter Lorinda Blew and husband David from Middleton ID, and her adored granddaughter Madison Blew. She was preceded in death by her parents Ansel and Fern Comstock. The family would like to thank some special people that cared for Patricia during her difficult days with Alzheimer’s disease: Country Time ALF where she lived for two years, Compassus Hospice that provided her hospice care for the past 4 months, and Ashley Manor ALF in Middleton that provided loving care for the last 6 months of her life. Mom always loved the holidays, and will greatly be missed this year! Any memorials are suggested to go to your local Alzheimer’s association.
Viewing will be Monday, November 13, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, ID with a procession to Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St. N., Nampa for graveside services beginning at 11:30 AM.
