Max Tracy Allen

August 17, 1969 ~ September 10, 2022 (age 53)

Tribute

Max T. Allen passed away in the early morning of September 10, 2022, while at home with his wife, Candice.

Max was born 3 months premature on August 17, 1969, to C. Max Allen and Louann Ross Allen. He weighed a mere 2 pounds at birth and wasn’t expected to live. He was a tiny miracle. He was the first-born of 6 children and he made sure they ALL knew it.

Growing up, Max was a tall, scrawny little boy, with coke bottle glasses and had a knack for teasing his siblings and hiding in the bathroom during Saturday chores with a book.

He met his eternal companion, Candice, in April of 1998. He wasn’t much for talking on the phone, but he was an avid writer, and he somehow managed to woo this cute girl he met at a dance. He literally swept her off her feet and emailed her to ask her out on their first date. Their whirlwind courtship was primarily by email as he was working and she was going to school. They were married August 26, 1998, and a year later they had their son, Christopher Max Allen, who shares his dad’s birthday 30 years apart on August 17, 1999.

Max worked in the mortgage industry for most of his adult life. In the last few years he was doing the job he enjoyed the most- auditing everyone’s work and ensuring sure there were no mistakes, which is something he was VERY good at- just ask his siblings.

Max was an incredible artist and poet, and had a love for reading, penguins, kittens, and crushing everyone at Boggle or Scrabble.  He was called a walking dictionary more than once.  He was the master of really bad dad jokes, getting his nieces and nephews in trouble, and eating hot peppers that would melt your face off.

Max is survived by his wife, Candice M. Allen; son, Christopher M Allen; siblings, Andrea (Robert D) Vlaanderen, Amber Allen, Jory Allen, Heatherlyn Allen, and Aaron Allen; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a long list of beloved friends, co-workers, and nurses.  He left this earth with ten cats to keep Candice company and an Amazon package each day to keep her on her toes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, C. Max Allen and Louann Allen Bindrup; nephew, Marquel Williams, and many aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Max’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday September 17, 2022, and will be held at the LDS church building located at 18463 Northside Boulevard in Nampa, ID. The viewing will start at 11am with the funeral following at 1pm. Due to the late afternoon, the burial will be on Monday morning September 19th at 11 am
