Share Tribute:

Maria Redmon of 812 W. Greenhurst Road and Family Life Memory Care of Nampa, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 26, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.  She was 82 years old.  Maria was born August 18, 1934 to Jose Dasdeado and Petra Escobedo.

In her younger years, Maria resided in Tulare, CA, where her daughter Jane was born.  She and her daughter then moved to Burley, ID where she met her husband, Lary G. Redmon.  The family traveled the Northwest working in the construction trade.  While traveling, their son, George, was born in Edmonds, WA.  Shortly after, they moved back home to Cascade, ID to raise their family on Glen and Glennie Redmon’s Ranch.

Maria was a devoted wife and mother; her children were her life. When Jane and George were in their early teens, their parents bought a farm in Emmett.  The family moved there in the mid 70’s.  In order for the children to continue schooling and sports, grandparents, Glen and Glennie played an important role with raising Jane and George in Cascade after the move.

After moving to Emmett, Maria became employed by Ore Ida in Ontario.  She met many friends, including a life-long friend, Rosie.  She was employed there until 1992.

The family then moved to New Plymouth, where Lary and Maria lived a happy life until his death in 1990.

Maria enjoyed flowers and gardening, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family pets.

She is survived by her two children; Jane M. (Randy) Meyer of Nampa, ID and Lary George (Erin) Redmon of Meridian, ID; her one grandson, George Redmon Jr. and two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Laila. Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Lary; in-laws, Glen and Glennie Redmon and granddaughter, Cassandra.

Family and friends are invited to the graveside service at Alpha Cemetery in Cascade, ID on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow at Alpha Grange Hall.

The family extends a very special thanks to Family Life Memory Care and Hospice for their extraordinary care while taking care of Mom.

Donations may be made to Family Life Memory Care or to Signature Hospice in Nampa.

“Mom will be greatly missed, her memory lives forever in our hearts!”
