Lynn Ivan Bean, 86, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday,
January 8, 2023, with his girls at his side.
Lynn was born on July 26, 1936 in Butterfield, Minnesota to Elmer and Ruth Bean.
Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the Navy. After completing his military
service he relocated to Whittier, California. Lynn and his wife Lois were married in 1961
and remained so for the rest of his life. Lynn and Lois built their family together,
welcoming Denise and Dawn. In 1972, the family relocated to Nampa, Idaho where Lynn
worked for Intermountain Gas Company for over 20 years.
Everyone who knew Lynn felt his big heart, quick smile and giving nature. Lynn loved
the outdoors and fishing was his favorite pastime. In addition to being an avid angler,
he could also be found puttering in the garage or tending to his garden. Lynn enjoyed
his retirement to the fullest and used his time to focus on his many outdoor hobbies,
spending time at the cabin, enjoying family gatherings, and playing with his grandsons.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Lois; his children: Denise K. Romero and Dawn R.
Williamson (Brad), as well as his two grandsons Brady and Ryan Williamson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s
Association.
A Military Committal Service will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery (10100
Horseshoe Bend Rd Boise, Idaho) at 11:00 on Friday January 20th.
