Lyle Stanley “Stan” Prindle Jr., age 84 for Kuna, ID passed away on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. Stan was born on May 23, 1933 in Cascade, ID to Lyle Stanley Sr. and Ruby Ester Prindle. Stan was the oldest of 5 siblings, followed by Marlene, Verna, Charles, Bruce, and Sandra.
Stan graduated from Cascade High School in 1952 and shortly after joined the US Navy where he spent most of his time on the Hawaiian Islands. He then came home in 1954 for emergency leave for his grandfather’s death. He married his childhood friend and love of his life, Myrna Joy Harp, on July 8th, 1954. They started a family and raised four children together.
Stan lived in various places with his family starting in; Astoria, OR, Cobalt, ID, Council, ID, and later settled down in Kuna, ID on the family farm. Stan and Myrna also had a weekend getaway spot, “The Cabin”, in Smith’s Ferry, ID where they loved sharing time with their children; Rob (Cheryl) Prindle, Bo Prindle, Vicki Prindle, and Randy (Tami) Prindle, and 9 grandkids; Heidi, Dena, Curtis, Janene, Shane, Phillip, Kimra, Tera, and Jena. Stan was a great grandpa and loved spending time with family including his 19 great grandkids.
Stan will be greatly missed by family and friends; he had a special place in his heart for everyone and taught us all so much. We will be hosting a gathering to reminisce and have a celebration of life this Saturday, May 19th, 2018 from 1:00PM – 4:00PM at 1314 S. Black Cat Rd. Kuna, ID 83634. There will be a reading of the eulogy at 1:00PM accompanied by some refreshments. You are always in our hearts grandpa, we love and miss you every day.
