Kenneth Leroy Phillips

Kenneth Leroy Phillips, 75 of Nampa Passed away on March 27,2022 in a local care facility.

Ken was born on October 25th, 1944, in Salt Lake City, UT. His father was a Filler Man at a Dairy, and his mother was a homemaker.  It is not clear if Ken had siblings or other family. Ken never married and had no children of his own.

As an adult, Ken worked in the Steel Fabrication industry until he retired.

Ken did not have any family in the Nampa area, except for those who cared for him at the care facility. He was loved in that setting. Ken participated in activities with his friends that included Bingo and watching television. Ken, having a huge, sweet tooth, loved his suckers and usually had one throughout the day. Ken has also said that he loves dogs. He did enjoy it when staff brought in their dogs to visit and would smile as he played with them. Ken had his own dog prior to living in the facility and he often spoke of the dog and his love for it. He also enjoyed playing guitar at one time and was good at it.

Ken leaves behind many friends who will miss him!  When asked how he would like to be remembered, Ken simply stated, “for being a good person” and he was.
