Karl-Heinz Friedrich Bahr, 85, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on January 13, 2016.
Karl was born in Soonan, Korea on April 18, 1930. He graduated from Pacific Union College Preparatory School, Angwin, California and continued on to receive a BA in Business Administration from Pacific Union College, Angwin, California. He also became a Certified Meeting Planner in the 1980-1990’s.
Karl was married to Betty McEachern on June 3, 1952; they were married 63-plus years.
Karl worked as an accountant/administrator for the Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 40 years. He enjoyed music, photography, and reading. He was also actively involved in his local church as elder, teacher, music leader, chairman of various committees, including church board, building, and finance.
Karl is survived by his wife Betty; children Karyl Krieger, Fredrick Bahr, and Edward Bahr; grandchildren Erika Combs, Dustin Bahr, Allison Krieger, and Ashley Bahr; and other family and friends.
Karl is preceded in death by his parents Ernst and Herta Bahr, a sister Elfriede and a brother Hans-Jurgen who both died in childhood.
The Bahr family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Nampa Seventh-day Adventist Church for a special Sabbath School live streaming project.
Karl really enjoyed the benefit of watching the live video streaming of the church services at the Nampa Seventh-day Adventist Church when he was unable to attend in person. The Sabbath before he passed away, he and I watched the service together on my laptop at the hospital.
Because Sabbath School was so important to him, he really wished that he could have been able to watch the Sabbath School class as well. However, the Nampa church does not yet have that capability. Your contribution will help make this a reality for others who are unable to attend Sabbath School in person.

The memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM January 31, 2016 at the Nampa Seventh-day Adventist Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel.
