Karen Rae Lawrence

November 23, 1940 ~ November 22, 2020 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Tribute

Karen Lawrence, 79, passed away on November 22, 2020.  She was at home and surrounded by family.  Karen was born to Kermit and Myrtle Jackson on November 23, 1940.  She grew up in Santa Monica, California, with her older sister, Alice, and her younger brother, Dan.

On August 23, 1958 she married her sweetheart, Phil Lawrence.  They were married 60 years.  They raised three children: Pam, Randy and Jeanine.  Karen was an excellent cook and exceptional pie maker.  Throughout her lifetime, she expressed her artistic flare through home and holiday décor, crocheting, knitting, sewing, greeting card making and other crafty things.

Karen was a woman of faith.  She enjoyed church and a variety of church music.  She loved the Lord and God’s word.  She spent a great deal of effort memorizing and studying scripture.  Her scripture and study notes could be found anywhere and everywhere in her house.  She was also a woman of prayer and prayed diligently for her children, grandchildren, and others.  More than anything, she wanted them to know that she loved them and that Jesus loved them so much more.

Karen will be missed and remembered by her children Pam (Gordon) Malsberger, Randy (Mary) Lawrence, and Jeanine (Allen) Williamson, her brother, Dan (Donna) Jackson and her grandchildren: William Malsberger, Ryan Lawrence, Anna Malsberger, Eric Malsberger, Kelsea Williamson, Steven Malsberger, Kaylee Williamson, Grady Lawrence, Padraic Lawrence and Cole Williamson.  She is preceded in death by her husband Phil Lawrence, her parents, Kermit and Myrtle Jackson, her sister, Alice Burk and her grandson, Cade Williamson.

Karen is now with Jesus.  She is free to sing, laugh, dance and create!
