Kal Hazen Reeder

In loving memory of Kal Hazen Reeder who passed away on March 13, 2019 of natural causes.

Kal was born on June 4, 1955 to Edwin and Lu Wana Reeder, 1 of 6 children. The family settled in New Plymouth Idaho, where the children attended school. The family later moved to Nampa and has lived in the area for many years. Kal has been residing at his home in Kuna for over 15 years.

Kal spent 4 years in the Navy, after an honorable discharge, he went on to pursue other passions. He had a very close relationship with his family and enjoyed waterskiing with his brothers and sister in a boat the whole family made from scratch. The boat was christened the "Reed Ark".

Kal had many hobbies and pursuits. One of his most favorite things to do was motorcycling. He went on a much-anticipated vacation where he met up with his brother, Allen Reeder, and nephew, Dustain Hollway, on a trip to Sturgis in the “Sturgis South Dakota 2018 Road Rally. It was a very memorable vacation.

Kal met and married Jo Ann early in his life. The couple has 2 children, Kalvin Reeder and Julie Reeder. Later the couple divorced. He then met his partner, Peg Rolinson, with whom he shared his residence until his death.

Kal had many talents; he was well versed in auto body painting. He owned his own building and remodeling company for many years. He passed on his knowledge of building and remodeling to his son Kalvin. He was very close to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Kal is survived by his son, Kalvin and Kalvin's wife, Kassie Reeder and his daughter, Julie Reeder. His beloved grandchildren, Nicolas, Patrick, Ryan, Jullian, Zachary Reeder, Hope Reeder, and Jonathan and Alyssa Hansen. His great grandchildren, Aspen and Victoria Reeder. His siblings, brothers, Bruce, Larry, and Allen Reeder; his sister, Wanda (Reeder) Hollaway; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kal is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Lu Wana Reeder, as well as his brother, Dean Reeder, and first wife, Jo Ann.

Kal will be sorely missed by his family. We love you Kal.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM with life celebration beginning at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church located at, 1500 Smith Ave., Nampa.
