Jon Eric Severns

Jon Eric Severns, 78, went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2021 in Nampa, Idaho. His Celebration of Life will be held on Friday March 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Creekside Christian Church, 8939 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624.

Jon was born on April 1, 1942 in Hemet, California to Robert and Doris Severns. During Jon’s school years he excelled in football and baseball. He married the love of his life Gale Plies on July 28, 1961, and had 2 daughters Anise and Julie. He retired in 2005 after 40+ years in the grocery business.

Jon enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Stockton Sportsman’s Club. He felt called to share the love of Jesus to those in other countries. He did so by going on multiple missions trips to help build churches and schools in which the gospel could be shared.

Jon is survived by his wife Gale, daughters Anise and Julie (son Peter), grand children Tyler (wife Jessie) and a great grandchild on the way, Spencer, Nichole, Amanda (husband Josh), sister Susan Simpson, brother Thomas Severns, sister-in-law Cheri Ray, and many nieces and nephews.
