Jean Ann Ramirez

Jean Ann Ramirez passed away from a heart attack on December 8, 2019 in Nampa, Idaho at the age of 79.

She was born on October 15th 1940 in Coldwater, Michigan to Carl and Vera Laney.

She was preceded in death by her favorite older brother, Wayne C. Laney, on March 13th 2015 in Quincy, Michigan, and her parents.

She is survived by her son Allyn Cantu Ramirez, and his half brothers Ralph Ramirez and his wife Linda, David Ramirez and his wife Gloria, his half sister Atalia Christina (Ramirez) Caldera and her husband.

Extended family survivors also include her grandchildren, Ralph, Roger, Alex and Lindsey, and Jacob.

Jean Ann was a very loving Christian woman. She worked for several years as an Auto Underwriter for Farmer's Insurance Group in Round Rock, Texas before taking an early retirement in 1992,

She then kept working full time as the night attendant at Comfort Suites in Bastrop, Texas until she was able to fully retire in 2005.  In 2010 she followed her son, Allyn, and moved to Caldwell, Idaho.  

She lived with him and his friends/roommates, Joe and Christine Miller, and their children David, Ryan, and Alanna.  She was always thinking of others, and taking the time to find ways to brighten their lives.

Whether it was a present, or thoughtful gift or card, or one of the many, many desserts from her lifetime of collected recipe's.  She loved to cook, and cooked often.  Her sense of humor was passed down to her son, Allyn, and they shared a lot of inside jokes, and even would both think and say the exact same comment at the same time.  

The memorial service will take place at 10:00 AM Tuesday December 17, 2019 at West Valley Baptist Church, 2513 Sundance Rd., Nampa, ID 83651, where she worshiped and attended. 

"I can hear the sound as Angels gather 'round. Saying, 'This is where you belong. Welcome Home!'"
