Jean Louis Cihigoyenetche

Jean-Louis Cihigoyenetche was born in Arneguy, France at Hartchaina. He was one of eight children born to Simon and Graciana Cihigoyenetche, on December 27, 1938 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 1, 2022 at 83 years old. He was married to Anne for 56 years, marrying on February 20, 1966, making a life in Chino, California where they owned a dairy and were involved in the Basque Community and Culture with the LaPuente and Chino Basque Clubs and Gauden Bat Dancers. They moved to Idaho to raise their family and continue their love of their Basque pride and heritage in Idaho. They were blessed with two boys, Bernard (JoAnn and Daniel) and Michel (Jennie and Cameron). Jean-Louis and Anne both sang in the Biotzetik Basque Choir. Jean-Louis was a gifted singer and dancer, dear and loyal friend, family man, a proud Basque, a gifted storyteller, always handy to build something, a gardener who loved to grow tomatoes and peppers and a kind human, who touched everyone's life who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 811 S. Latah Street, Boise, Idaho 83705 on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow.
