Jason Lee Wilks, 44, of Nampa died at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his home. A long-time resident of Nampa, and a former resident of Pocatello, Idaho, Mr. Wilks had been diagnosed with mesothelioma in February of 2022.
He was born in Pocatello, Idaho on April 6, 1968, the son of Leroy and Cynthia White Wilks. He attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Capitol High School of Boise in 1996.
Jason worked in the construction trade for Masco Inc. of Nampa, and Boise Inc. of Nampa. However, his passion was skiing and he trained year round with mountain biking, cardio, and weightlifting. He became one of the best skiers on the mountain.
Jason is survived by his mother, Cynthia Wilks, and many uncles and aunts, as well as three generations of cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father, Leroy R. Wilks, his grandfathers, Norris M. White and Cecil R. Wilks, and grandmothers, Ruby E. White and Edith L. Wilks.
