Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Janice Eileen (Dynes) Becker, loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, and aunt, passed away battling Dementia at the age of 75, surrounded by her family. Janice was born on Flag Day, June 14, 1945, in Omak Washington to Kenneth and Loeta Dynes.

In 1949, the Dynes family moved to Fairbanks Alaska. In 1957 the family purchased property for the Homestead on Chena Hot Springs Road. In 1963 Janice graduated from Lathrop High School. While at high school she earned her way up to the member of the honor choir. The summer after she graduated she met Ray Becker. They announced their engagement in June 1964. were married on August 21, 1964, at Tillamook Church of the Nazarene, and resided in Beaver Oregon. Their son Kenny was born on December 11, 1966. The family moved a few times, and eventually ended up in Hillsboro Oregon in the spring of 1968. Their daughter Kimberly was born on August 4, 1970. Janice was a stay-at-home mom for many years. In 1976 she worked part-time at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed singing at church and was involved in many other activities within the church. In 1982 she went to work for Floating Point and then Portland General Electric in their Print Shop. Janice retired in 1998. In 2002, Ray and Janice moved to Nampa Idaho and attended Nampa First Church of the Nazarene.

Janice was preceded in death by her father Kenneth, mother Loeta, brothers Ronnie, Paul, and sister Karen. She is survived by her husband Ray, two children Kenny (and Heather) Becker, Kim (and Phil) Norman, six grandchildren Jayden Becker-Norman, Laken (and Anthony) Schafer, Haven Norman, Kyler (and Brannon) Becker, McKaylee Becker and Aubri Becker, one great grandson Jaxon Schafer, sister Gail Simcox, brothers Dick (and Anita) Dynes and Mike (and Marsha) Dynes, several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many friends from near and far away.

Janice’s funeral service will be held at First Church of the Nazarene on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 11:00am.
