James Herbert Walker was born December 6, 1948 in Austin Texas to Dorothy Mae Walker. He was a
chef since the age of twenty-one where he learned as a chef"s helper in casinos in Las Vegas Nevada.
Food was his love; his greatest joy was to prepare meals for his family and special occasions. He worked
for the culinary union in Las Vegas for over twenty years before retiring. His second joy was music and of
course movies which he acquired a large collection of both. He also enjoyed working on cars and
outfitting them with sound systems.

He is survived by a large loving family, including Linda, his wife of 40 years; his son Gerry, and wife,
Coral, son Ryan and wife, Emily, and son Phillip and wife, Tonya and his sister, Debra Walker of Los
Angeles California. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces,
nephews, and cousins. Pa also had a strong bond with many others he loved and cared for as his own.

He was preceded in death by his mother, two sisters, three brothers, two daughters, and one
grandchild.

James was 31 years of age when he was drawn to move to Denver, Colorado where he met the love of
his life, wife, Linda. They married January 20, 1982. He and Linda then built his family life. Later, he
moved his family to Burley, Idaho and finally to Jackpot, Nevada where he and his family lived for 17
years. He moved back to Las Vegas where he retired from the Culinary Union. James then moved to
Nampa, Idaho for his retirement. At this time, James furiously fought cancer and illness till his final
battle with cancer and left us.

His childhood dreams of being a cowboy were fulfilled through his sons Ryan and Gerry whom he loved
dearly. His love of horses came to light with his very special friend, Nibbles. Watching them and being
around horses and animals brought James great joy.
