James Arthur Kennedy

James  "Jim" Kennedy, 87, passed away in his home on October 23, 2020 in Melba, ID

James was born on February 1, 1933 in Buffalo, NY to his parents William and Matilda Kennedy. He had 5 brothers and 3 sisters.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954.

He married Thelma Kerbs on December 5, 1970. He worked for many years and retired from CloverClub foods in Kaysville, UT. Following retirement he and Thelma moved to Idaho to spend their retirement years closer to all their family. 

James was preceded in death by his wife,Thelma; his 5 brothers; 2 sisters; and his grandson, Daniel VanWinkle. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Loraine & Myron Hermon; his children and their spouses: Troy (Cheryl) Kennedy, Jody (Charlie) Christensen, Shane Kennedy, Mary Hayes, Janet (Charlie) Collier, Thelma (Joe) Hayes, Linda (Craig) Graham, Frank (Barbara) Kerbs, Nita (Martin) Luttrell, Dennis (Camille) Kerbs: approximately 35 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be held on November 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the Melba Cemetery.  Dinner for family will be following at Melba Valley Senior Center.
