James Edward Davis

James E. (Jim) Davis was born March 10th, 1939 in Arlington Kentucky and passed away one month after heart surgery February 25th, 2021 at his home in Homedale, Idaho.

Jim moved with his parents 3 brothers and 4 sister, to Idaho in 1954. He worked for Fleetwood Homes of Idaho for 45 years.

Jim married Carol Boston of Nampa and together they raised 2 daughters, Kelly and Tammy Davis. In 1974 Jim married Carolyn J Kirk (Brockus) and together they raised her three children Jeff, Karen and Cathie Kirk.

Jim loved camping and fishing with family and friends, flowers, gardening and tinkering in his yard. After moving to Homedale in 2002, on any summer day you could find him buzzing around on his favorite golf cart.

Jim was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor Reidal in Nampa Idaho. When he moved to Homedale he became a loving member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and attended regularly.

Jim is survived by 1 brother Sam Davis, 2 sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Phillips and Janice Campbell, 1 daughter Kelly 2 step daughters Karen Ware and Cathie Hansen and 1 step son Jeff Kirk and numerous nieces nephews and grandchildren.

Jim was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Larry and Jay Davis, 2 sisters Rachel Nobel and Helen Palmer, 1 daughter Tammy Davis Hernandez.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave S, Nampa Idaho. Calling hours are on Sunday, March 7, 2021 between 2:00 - 5:00 pm, with a funeral service in his honor on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, 621 W Idaho Ave, Homedale, ID 83628. Interment to follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa.
