Jacqueline Slaughter

March 17, 1972 ~ November 8, 2021 (age 49) 49 Years Old

Tribute

Jacqueline (Jackie) J. Slaughter, known for her kind and generous spirit, passed away peacefully in her Boise home Monday, November 8, 2021. She was 49.

Jackie was effervescent; she shone, sparkled and overflowed with joy. She had a great love for horses, quilting, the outdoors and - damn!- could that woman cook. Anyone who attended a holiday or potluck can attest to the fact that she made the best biscuits in town.

Jackie was a natural mother. The kind of mom that makes the rest of us wonder if we are doing it wrong. Her love and protective presence were obvious; all children adored her.

Jackie took everything in stride. When any problem presented itself she was busy caring for others and willing to share a hug with anyone who needed one. She blessed our lives with love, loyalty and joy.

Jackie’s biggest passion was life. She may not have lived as long as she deserved but she lived big. The joy she had filled every room she was in and blessed the lives of those she loved. It’s her joy that we will carry with us to fill the hole she has left in our hearts.

Jackie is survived by Roy Slaughter, her 2 sons Russel Hewlett and Cody Robbins; daughter Michaela Evensen (Tyler Evensen); grandchildren Benjamin and Mason Evensen; mother Pamela Darst; her brother Eugene Fisher (Nicole, Beckett, and Raylan Fisher);aunts Joan Henry and Patricia A. Fisher. She is also survived by her lifelong friends Bob and Tonya Atwood among many others. She will be greeted in heaven by her grandparents Vivian and Herb Fisher, step-father Billy Darst, her aunt Denise Gerth and uncle John Henry.

A memorial service will be held for Jackie at Messiah Lutheran Church on Tuesday November 23rd at 7:00 PM.
