Helen Catherine Bean, age 90, of Nampa passed away on Monday, July 31st. She was born January 6,1927 in Payette, Idaho to Edna Mae and Merrill Gray Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Weston Bean on August 12, 2016. They married on September 18, 1949 and enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. Catherine went to work for the Nampa Senior Citizen Center in 1974 and ultimately retired as coordinator after 20 years of service. Catherine’s hobbies included knitting and crocheting, needlework and collecting Avon. She was a wonderful cook and baker. After retirement their love of the outdoors led Stan and Catherine to travel the country together in their fifth wheel.

She is survived by her sons Terry Bean and Craig Bean; daughter-in-law, Kathy Bean; grandchildren Michael (Julie) Bean, Michelle (Matt) Richmond, and Amy (Taylor) Autry; and great-grandchildren, Beth, Jessica, Anthony, Kaylee, Adalynn, Zachary, Kenna and Emory; her brother Jack Davis and sister Virginia Montoya.

          There will be a viewing on Thursday, August 3, 2017 beginning at 12:30 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651.  Private interment will take place at the Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise.
