Evelyn R. Munster

Evelyn Munster went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Evelyn was born in Waco, NE in April 1922 to Margaret and Herman Wulff. She was the second child and had four sisters and two brothers. She grew up surrounded by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and maternal grandparents, in the tiny German Village of Utica.

In 1940 Evelyn met Alvin Munster at a young person’s Bible study in York, NE. They were married in Nampa, ID in February 1942. They raised their family of two boys and two girls in Nampa. Alvin owned Munster’s Barber Shop and Evelyn worked at different times at Rexall Drug Store, Simplot, Idaho Department Store, and Consumers Grocery.

Evelyn joined Zion Lutheran Church when she first came to Idaho in 1941. She was active in many service groups at the church. Her love for the Lord lasted for a lifetime, even to the end as she sang, “Jesus Loves Me”.

She is survived by her children Dennis (Pam), LaDonna Dell (Monty), Mervin (Pat), and Yvonne Brewer (Phil), 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Opal Wulff and Myrna Tewes (Larry), 3 in-laws, Jean Severance, Dean Munster, and Larry Tewes, many nieces and nephews, and one who was like a foster daughter, Mickie Weible Sunberg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, her parents, and 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

A visitation will be held 4:00-6:00PM on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 404 Nectarine Street, Nampa, Idaho 83686. Interment will follow the funeral service at 12:00PM at Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651.
