Eve Hunter

Eve Hunter passed away peacefully at the age of 82 in Nampa, Idaho.

She is survived by a very large and loving family including 2 sisters, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Eve was raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia after high school. She met her late husband there, and they moved to Texas in the mid-1970s. After working for many years as an Executive Administrator for private companies and for her church, occasionally substitute teaching and volunteering, she and her husband retired and moved to a small cattle ranch. Eve had many adventures living the country life, but her favorite activities were watching sunrises and sunsets, naming the baby calves, and watching the wildflowers bloom every spring. After her husband passed away, she enjoyed spending time with her family and eventually followed them to Idaho. She loved the changing seasons, and especially the brilliance of fall leaves followed by fresh snow on the mountains.

Eve quickly made friends in every place that she lived. As a self-described introvert, she was known as a social butterfly and had many friends who loved her dearly. She was a wonderful and empathetic listener, and often quoted, “Let Go, and Let God.” Eve always had the right words to offer for encouragement to others, even if she was experiencing her own challenges in life. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy for us to love others as Jesus loved us.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held to honor Eve’s life on April 7th at 2:00 pm.
