Eleanor Deloris Widger

On Friday June 10, 2022, Eleanor Doloris (Dee) Widger, loving mother, grandmother, sister and wife passed away at the age of 80. 

Eleanor was born in Monarch, KS to Harold and Violet Yost. Eleanor was a loving sister to three siblings, step-sister Nancy, Velma and Gene. She later met and married Robert L. Widger in February 1958. They raised five daughters, Belinda, Angela, Kathleen, Carmen, and Leslie.

Eleanor was a great friend to many and was happy spending her days selling Avon, crocheting, or canning. She was generous with her time and money to friends and family alike. She supported the local historical society, St. Jude’s, and PBS. She loved listening to Elvis and talking with friends on the phone.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Violet, daughter Cherry, and siblings Harold Jr., Gene and Nancy. She is survived by her husband Robert, and her five daughters, twelve Grandchildren, six Great Grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on June 25th at the Owyhee County Museum in Murphy Idaho at 1 o’clock. If you wish to send flowers please send donations to Owyhee County Museum, PBS, St. Jude, or disabled veterans.
