Edith Sue Anderson

Edith “Sue” Anderson, 87, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 27th, 1935, in New Castle, Wyoming and was raised in Melba, Idaho where she graduated from Melba High School in 1955.

Sue was a dedicated and loving church-goer, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Richard Anderson on August 13 1966 and had three children Mark, Kevin, and Christina.

After graduating from Lady Helen's School of Beauty, Sue worked at Nampa Care Center where she met her ex-husband, Richard. Later on, she worked for 20 years as a Developmental Therapist at the Idaho State School and Hospital. After retirement, she remained active and dedicated to her family, frequently taking care of her grandchildren, and volunteering for the local charity Hands of Hope.

Sue was an avid reader and had a love for Stephen King books. She was also a fan of the TV show "Bonanza" and harbored a longtime crush on the actor Purnell Roberts.

She will be deeply missed by her ex-husband, children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons. A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 15th at 11:00 AM  at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel.
