Dora Elaine Stauffer went to be with her Lord at the age of 86 on February 8, 2018.  Dora, born October 22, 1931 in Seward, Nebraska to Milo Miller and Mabel Beckler, grew up with one brother, Clyde; and two sisters, Lois and Joyce.  Dora’s father passed away from a battle with pneumonia when she was a very young girl and she worked in a shoe shop to help support her family.  Dora graduated from high school in Milford, Nebraska.  She married Edward Stauffer in Milford and they had three children, Lonnie, Gregory and Claryce Ann.  Later during their marriage, they also resided in Hesston and Topeka, Kansas, and finally, in retirement, in Boise and Nampa, Idaho.

Dora dealt with many losses and health challenges, but was always positive and helped others to be the best they could be.  Dora was greatly respected and loved by family, friends, work colleagues, and member of her church.  Dora is preceded in death by her father, Milo; mother, Mabel; brother, Clyde; husband, Edward and son, Lonnie.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Stauffer; son, Gregory Stauffer and his partner, Deborah Hill; daughter, Claryce (David) Manweiler; grandchildren, Heather Summers, Jeremy Stauffer, Kelsey and Miranda Manweiler.

Dora worked in the accounting and banking industries before retiring and moving to Idaho.  Dora’s hobbies were gardening, reading, working in the library at her church and taking care of her grandchildren.  Dora always put others first before her own needs.  She cared about equality and fairness for all people and loved working with children.  In her last years, Dora had a very close friend, Les Waters.  Both having lost their spouses, they became very supportive of each other; providing joy and comfort to each other in their final years.  Dora will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Everyone she touched is very grateful she was a part of their lives and are comforted in knowing she is at peace.

No funeral services will be held.  Memorials or donations can be made in her name to Lakeview Bible Church, 1010 W. Greenhurst Rd., Nampa, Idaho 83686.
