Dennis Leo Rohman

Dennis Leo Rohman, age 76, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away peacefully at St Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho on June 29th, 2022. Dennis was born December 27th, 1945, in Hillsboro, North Dakota to Theodore and Elfrieda Rohman. Dennis was the youngest of three children, growing up on a dairy farm in Cummings, North Dakota.  He joined the Army in 1963 and afterwards moved to Washington, Colorado eventually settling in Emmett, Idaho. 

Dennis was a hard-working man that loved to live life. Dennis worked on the Alaskan Pipeline in the 60’s and 70’s. Dennis was a carpenter by trade working many years alongside his friend Denny Johnson. In his free time Dennis enjoyed fishing, especially deep-sea fishing, hunting all types of game and gardening. 

Dennis married Anna Steep on January 4th, 1973. They enjoyed over 50 years together. In the 80’s Dennis and Anna became fruit ranchers. They also operated a small fruit stand and trucking business. Dennis accomplished many things in his adventurous life with the imagination and desire to always do more. Dennis is survived by his wife Anna and their four children Mark Rohman, Marnie Steinebach (John), Erin Anderson and Denise Mahurin (Earl). Dennis was a very proud grandpa of 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. 

Memorial services for Dennis will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 S. Hayes, Emmett, Idaho 83617 at 11:00 am on July 9th, 2022, with a small reception to follow at the church. A private family service is to be scheduled at a later date to celebrate Dennis’s final resting place, the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
