David Lee Smith

David Lee Smith, 69, of Meridian passed away on November 2, 2022 peacefully in his home.
   He is survived by his daughter, Shelley West, grandson, Marcus West, niece, Sonia Childers and a ton of wonderful bonus family.
David was born in Yuba City, CA in 1953 to Robert and Patsy Smith. He was the youngest of three boys. David and his family moved to Grass Valley shortly after. As a young child he became very rambunctious, and he and his brothers found themselves in trouble, A LOT!!! Including starting wild fires in the woods! (LOL)…. As a teen he worked and helped run the family gas station, and after High School he moved to South San Francisco to work in the family owned meat factory as a, Butcher. He moved to Idaho in 1976 where he continued working as a Butcher at Armor meats. He then went on to further his education and obtained his unions license in heating and air conditioning. David was a jack of all trades and was a very hardworking man. David enjoyed a cold beer or 5 with his friends, race car driving, woodworking, concerts, camping, movies and a great deal at the local goodwill stores. (LOL)
    David lived his life to the fullest and did whatever he wanted when he wanted and absolutely loved giving you his opinion whether you liked it or not! (LOL)…,,but at the end of the day I can say he absolutely loved his family and friends and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do to help any of us. Our family is grateful to know that he is finally at peace.

David was predeceased by his Parents Robert and Patsy Smith. Brothers, Robert and Michael Smith, and his beautiful Niece Erica Iversen.
