Tribute

Colleen Ridlinghafer Winn, 87, of Caldwell, ID passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Lenity Assisted Living care center. Colleen was born in Loma Linda, California on April 1, 1931 to Dessie Jarrett Lilley and Walter Finley Lilley.   In 1940 Dessie divorced and they moved to Duncan, Oklahoma where Colleen was raised. Her mother Dessie re-married and Colleen was adopted by her stepfather Vernon Ridlinghafer at the age of 10. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1949. Colleen married Pat Reece Winn on February 19, 1950. She was a homemaker and they raised 5 children, 1 girl and 4 boys, Sherry, Gary, Phil, Stephen and John. Her and Pat were members of the First Presbyterian church in Duncan, OK. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul.  Colleen is noted for never meeting a stranger. She was very outgoing and could have a person’s full family history in the first 10 minutes of their meeting. She was a Super Social Butterfly as she really cared about others and really made a difference in people’s lives. She had a fun personality and could always laugh easily even at herself.  Colleen had many hobbies over the years: Ceramics, painting, knitting, cooking, gardening and decorating her home. Her and Pat were a team when he carved his birds, she would paint them. She had lived in many states, Georgia, Washington, California, Alabama, Texas, Oregon, Oklahoma and Idaho. She loved babies, dogs and shoes. She had 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. It was a privilege for all of us to have known her.  Colleen was a very special lady and she will be greatly missed.
