Bruce A. Mathiason

Bruce Alan Mathiason, 59, was born on June 19, 1960 to Clair and Milly Mathiason in Poplar, MT and passed away in his home on June 22, 2019 in Nampa, Idaho.

Bruce graduated from Fergus High School in Lewistown, MT in 1978.  He served in the United States Airforce and soon after moved to Washington where he lived for 35 years and worked for Boeing from 1987 – 2016. Bruce retired and moved to Nampa, Idaho and found his forever home with his beloved wife Sharon.  Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Sharon Mathiason, his children and their spouses, Thor Mathiason, Brian & Kambra Mathiason, Rob & Alexis Mathiason, Melissa Fry, Steve & Kori Finch, Michelle Miller, Sandra Coryat & Kelly Rogers, Robert Miller & Amitie Mendoza. His siblings Rod & Diana Mathiason, Myla & Sam Schorsch, Claire Ann Mathiason-Baker, Judd & Ellie Mathiason and his grandchildren, Josh Mathiason, Katie Mathiason, Brianna Ravarino, Cameron Mohr, Caitlin Mathiason, Ashley Mathiason, Andrew Mathiason, Joey Mathiason, Aneshia Morishita, Keison Kanady, Liam Senn, Gabe Coryat, Izzy Coryat, Piper Rogers, Natalie Finch and Leigha Finch and many other family members and friends.

Bruce had a heart of gold and was always willing to help everyone either through his words of wisdom or other acts of kindness.  Bruce was a family man and family was his number one priority. He cherished every minute with his family and his friends and cared deeply for everyone in his life. He was an amazing storyteller and you never left Bruce’s presence without learning something knew either about him or the world around us.  He is deeply loved and will be missed by everyone he had in his life, both family and friends. Even though with Bruce everyone was his family. 

The Celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on June 27, 2019 beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at West Park near the pond (27 S. Park Drive Nampa, Idaho 83651). We will continue to Bruce’s home located across the street from the park to have a drink in honor of Bruce’s memory.
