Brenda Leann Harris

Brenda Leann Harris, 59, passed away Tuesday afternoon October 12th, 2021. Covid-19 ravaged her body, destroyed her lungs, and broke her heart. A death of many that shouldn’t have happened. She took her last breath peacefully and no longer in pain surrounded by the voices of her daughters letting her know it was all going to be okay.

Brenda was born on July 5th 1962 in Nampa, Idaho. She was the only girl in a family of four. She learned how to love at a young age and always took care of her brothers. Greg, Brent, and Bobby… you were her family, and her family she loved fiercely! She learned of a half sister (Wendy Buffaloe) later in life and with time I know she would have had that same love for her as well.

Brenda married her high school sweetheart (Doug Harris) shortly after graduation and they had two children together, Kayla and Skyler. It was love at first sight and her children quickly became her whole world. There was never any doubt that she loved them selflessly and unconditionally! Ultimately that marriage wasn’t meant to last, but Doug and Brenda always remained friends. After a few years passed she reconnected with an old friend (Gene Bailey) and found her everlasting love with him. He thought she hung the moon!

As bright as Brenda’s light shined, she battled her own demons from a very young age. The death of her fiancé, her mother, and a wonderful nephew that she lost way too soon seemed to spiral her into her greatest fight…until Covid. Regardless of her struggles she still made sure she put everyone else first!

If you met Brenda she would have left an impression on you. Her kindness was infectious and I truly believe we were all better people for having known her! She loved fiercely and made sure everyone around her knew that she cared. She did not miss sending a card or a text on every holiday or birthday. She always made the important things special for her kids! In June of 2020 she became a Grandma! A lifelong dream. We will never let Mia Marie forget you Grandma B! She helped her daughter start a very successful dog boarding and daycare business that would never be where it is without her. She was very proud of that!

Brenda is survived by her two kids Kayla Martin (wife Nikki and granddaughter Mia Marie), and her son Skyler Harris. She also left behind her two fur babies, Diesel and Lila Bugs. She had 3 brothers Greg Bozeman (wife Rebecca and children Mariah, Wade, Sean, and Heather), Brent Bozeman (children Kristina, Bryce, and Mary), Bob Bozeman (wife Paulette and children Brittany, Blake, Brookelyn, and the late Brandon). To her immediate family and her extended family… She loved you all so so much!

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents William and Barbara, her late finance Gene Bailey, and her nephew Brandon Bozeman.

There will be a viewing on October 27th from 4-6pm at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel (404 10th Ave South Nampa, ID) and her Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on October 28th at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (15862 Indiana Ave Caldwell, ID).
