Arnold Wesley Strawn

Arnold Wesley Strawn was born June 11, 1939 to Lester Howard Strawn and Alberta Minerva Lyons. He died Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa, Idaho due to complications of long term illness. A long term resident of Caldwell, Idaho he is survived by his wife; Marie Puckett Strawn, step daughter; JoAnne Trumbull, daughters; Karen Schlosser and Gail Cooper, brother; Leslie Strawn, sister; Nancy Redford, along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He joined the Marine Corps after school where he learned to be an auto mechanic. He spent many years repairing Volkswagens and opened his own shop working on all foreign cars. He later worked as a maintenance engineer until his retirement. He built and drove racecars at the original racetrack in Meridian. He was involved in the Marine Corps League and was Commandant of the organization for a while. He loved working with wood and made large and small lawn ornaments, wall plaques, and hangs. He loved gardening; he had a lovely yard and vegetable garden.

He loved his family and friends; he will be missed by all who knew him. Goodbye Daddy, we will meet you at the Gate.
