Arlena Rae Renzi

Arlena Rae Lewellen Renzi 1933 — 2018 Arlena passed away peacefully Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the age of 85 from a massive cerebral hemorrhage. Born October 12, 1933 to Elvan Nathan and Roselle Mae (Trovillo) Lewellen on her Grandma and Grandpa Lewellen's farm in Hagerman, Idaho. Arlena grew up in Glenns Ferry and Nampa, Idaho. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1952. She graduated from St. Luke's Nursing School in Boise, Idaho in 1955; she retired from nursing at the age of 60. Arlena married Nicholas Frank Renzi on March 19, 1955 and they had three sons. Their family grew up in Mountain Home, Idaho. Arlena and Nick settled in Kingman, Arizona for their retirement. She moved to Meridian, Idaho when Nick passed away June 16, 2011. Arlena was a faithful and active member of Saint Paul's Catholic Church. Family and friends were her life! She maintained life-long relationships with many friends. Being Nonna to four grandsons was at the top of her list. Arlena loved to garden, read, knit/crochet, play Sudoku and Mahjong, and keep accurate records. She was a good neighbor, hospital volunteer, hugger, and could tell a good story. She was an excellent cook, gracious hostess, and immaculate housekeeper. She is survived by 3 children, Michael, John, and Mark; 4 grandchildren, Barron (Bethany), Jon-Michael Chase (Emily), Vincent, and Francis (Frankie); 2 great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Blake and a 3rd due this week. Her surviving sibling is Carol Lewellen (Gordon) Wakefield. Also survived by sister-in-law Mary Pieratt, brothers-in-law, Joe (Diane) Renzi and Frank (Mary Ann) Renzi. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepmother Marie Richardson Lewellen, brother Gale (Janice) Lewellen and sister Jean Lewellen.  Services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00pm at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel in Nampa. A graveside service will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St. North, Nampa.
