On December 23, 2017 our angel, Tobias “Adam” Barela, went home to be with his heavenly father. Adam was born May 22, 1991 to Tobias “Toby” and Enedina “Nina” Barela. He was his mama’s special boy who she nicknamed, “Dito”, and only they know why. Adam was born and raised in Nampa and have several friends. Romeo Longoria and Ariel Luna were two of his childhood friends growing up. Anytime you saw Adam he had a smile on his face, he would make everyone laugh, and would make people wonder what he was up to. He loved building lowrider bikes and attending car shows. He was in the process of restoring a 55 Buick that was left to him by his grandpa. He loved going to the shooting range and loved to brag about what a “good shot” he was. Anytime anyone would show up to Adam’s you could be sure he was watching one of his many movies. On November 22, 2013 he married his “Queen”, as he called her, Daniela Marquez. They have a lot of memories that she will cherish forever; like their many adventures, an unplanned road trip to Washington where they hiked more than six miles up Multnomah Falls and then got stuck on Mount Saint Helens (yes the volcano). Adam will be greatly missed but will always be remembered. He left so many people with great memories of him. Adam is survived by his wife, Daniela, his parents Toby and Nina, his sister Giovanna “G”, his brother Esteban “Stavi”, his sister Criselda, brother Paul,  his second mom his “Lil Grandma”, his grandma Rachel (Vidal) Lopez, grandma Rachel Barela, his extended family, several nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Adam was preceded in death by his older brother Daniel Tobias Barela, his grandpa Steve “Chacho” Gonzales, his Tia Connie Rojas, and Uncle Herman Barela.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5:00 PM until the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, ID 83651.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt Ave., Nampa.
