Sharron arrived in this world on June 3, 1949, and she hasn’t met a stranger since.  She began her life in Indianapolis, but she ended up in many places before settling in Nampa, ID. She lived in Newfoundland, Canada, and Rubidoux, CA.  She had children in Hemet and Riverside, CA.  After moving to Mountain Home, ID, she worked at the Air Force base in a fire station cafeteria and then at Keystone Pizza. She was also the neighborhood Avon lady for a short time. She especially enjoyed working at the Sears Catalog store. While her kids were teenagers, they likely had the only mom at Fort Jackson, SC, completing basic training for the Army National Guard. That was the beginning of a long career at Gowen Field, which brought her to Boise and then to Meridian, ID. Following her military retirement, Sharron worked several more years with the Veteran’s Administration. In every place Sharron ever lived or worked, she made lifelong friends.

Sharron loved to bowl, play golf, attend Boise State football and basketball games, watch the Steelheads play hockey, and play World Championship cribbage games.  She pretty much delighted in whatever got her together with friends.  Travel was important to Sharron and she liked sharing stories about her many trips to places like Hawaii, New York City, Chicago, Australia and the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona.  Sharron also enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in a variety of athletics. She made holidays special at her house and looked forward to entertaining visitors.  Family and friends all looked forward to New Year’s Day at the Ujiiye house where Ron and Sharron made enough sushi that they sent leftovers home with their guests. Sharron was a kind and a thoughtful person.  Anyone who knew Sharron has a story where she came through in a time of need.

Sharron is missed by her husband Ron, her oldest daughter Andra, partner Jeff, Andra’s children Jase and Jerry, and Jase’s son Cashis, her youngest daughter Kristi, husband Eric, their son Robie, Ron’s oldest daughter Cori, husband Rhett, their children Harley and Wyatt, Ron’s youngest daughter Erin, husband Rolando, their children Gabriel, Benjamin, and Max, her sister Jan, with daughters Anne and Jennifer, her sister Donna, with son Shannon, and her brother Jack. There is no way to name every person who loves her and misses her. She cherished her friends and family.

Committal service and inurnment will take place at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on July 28th at 2 PM, where full military honors will be rendered. A Celebration of Life will follow at The Water’s Edge, 287 E. Shore Drive, Eagle, from 4-8 PM.
