We are saddened to learn that you’re mourning the loss of your dear love one. However, it saddens our God even more. No doubt, you have many fond memories which will resurface from time to time. And because you do have memories, certainly shows that almighty God has memories as well. Therefore, with full confidence you can take comfort in knowing that he longs to restore perfect life to all those in his memory (Job ‪14:13-15‬; Rev 21:3, 4). Please accept our condolences at this most distressing time.

So sorry to hear about the passing of one of the best teachers I ever had. Ray Blue was an awesome teacher of Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and Physics because he took the time to make sure we all understood math concepts. Because of Mr. Blue's math influence in my life, I went on to work in the field of Radiology and specializing in MRI and Health care business. I have so many good memories of all the time we spent together during my four years at GSA. Flying in his airplane, officiating many intramural games together and working on many maintenance projects at GSA. He was a great bus driver too. You will truly be missed and we all look forward to that wonderful day in which we will all be together again with our Lord and Saviour.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family.
Sincerely, Glen

Ray Blue is my favorite teacher I ever had. He was a great inspiration for me while taking algebra at Gem State Academy. He always took the time to make sure I understood the foundations of math when I was struggling with a concept. He inspired me to go into the Computer Science field in college and to get a Minor in Mathematics, which I may not have done without his influence during my freshman year in high school. Thank you so much, Ray!

Condolences to your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had the opportunity to know Ray and his family as a faculty kid at Gem State from the age of 3 to 18. It's nice to have Ray and family in many of my childhood memories! I am most thankful to Ray for helping me pass geometry my senior year at Gem State so that I could graduate! Because as a faculty kid, you never get away with anything, I was annoyed when i found out Ray had talked to my Dad without me knowing, to tell him I was flunking, and propose a plan to get me to pass! Ray was really patient with me as he tutored me through those few weeks of torture. He even remained kind, knowing I hated everything about math and geometry😀
Your family is my thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of this nice Man.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Blue's passing. I always enjoyed his algebra and physics classes at Gem State. He was always very friendly and interested in how you were doing as a student and person. Since I was good friends with Tod, I was around Mr. Blue away from the classroom as well and he was always ready with a good story or advice in how to best succeed in life. Mr. Blue will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. I look forward to the day Jesus comes again and we will see our family members and friends once again in the earth made new.

I would like to express our heartfelt condolences on behalf of Family Life. Although we knew Ray for a short time he became one of the family. I am very honored to have know him and his family. Ray had a sense of humor that you just wanted to know more about him.
From the first day that I met Ray he touched my heart and I knew that I just wanted to help him and Betty any way I could. It is these families that I truly know why God led me to do this kind of work.
Ray will be truly missed. I will remember him and his family always. I send my love and prayers to all the family.

This is a re-post of what I posted on Facebook a few days ago.

Saying goodbye to the best teacher I ever had, Ray Blue! I remember when I would come out of his Physics class there were alway kids sitting on the floor outside his office door waiting for him. He was a true friend to all and always willing to help students with ANY type of problem they had, whether it was a class problem, a school problem, or a family problem. He spent so many hours helping all students in every way. He also was an astounding teacher who was able to make a, not very bright high school kid like me, understand and pass Physics with an "A" ....I will never forget you Ray! RIP! You were a true mentor! ....jzap

Mr.Blue was such a sweet, caring teacher. I never understood math abd was terrified of being called to work problems at the board in the front of the class. He made a deal with me that if I kept at least a B in class, he would never call on me in class. Even tho, I didn't keep my end of the deal...he did. My love and prayers to his family. Ray allowed me to appreciate math. It had been a big issue in my learning until I attended GSA. Also Ray became my friend years later when living as a young adult in the Boise area.

Mr. Blue was the best teacher I ever had. Of all the educators I've known, he had the most lasting impact on me. He was my senior class sponsor, (class of 85), dirt bike and skiing friend. I even flew with him, as a passenger, when he took Kristin Nettland home to Central Oregon.

He was an exceptional man and educator. High energy and full of life.

I was deeply saddened when I learned of his passing from my brother Gerald. I will miss him. Thankfully, we will all be reunited when Jesus returns. I look forward to that day.

My prayers are with your family during this time of loss and sadness.

Mr. Blue was truly a great teacher and friend. His presence on campus at GSAA was a much bigger spiritual influence than just a teacher of math. I will miss him, he was a reminder at every reunion of what a life lived in the service of God looks like.

My condolences to Betty and family. Ray was like a second dad to me just as he was to many other of his students. He was a light on the hill when ever anyone needed comfort, safe place, or just to talk. I will never forget his fight so all would graduate. He was a favorite teacher and A/V boss. All of you are in my prayers. We will see him again and I know he will have many gems in his crown on that great resurrection day. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Take care and God bless and much love to all.

Staying true to form, I have so much to say about Ray...He was more than just a math teacher to me, he was a mentor, father figure, friend, inspiration. I eventually followed in his footsteps as a math teacher, but also the engineering profession as well. I have been building things all my adult life and have focused on doing what I can to help others find Christ where and when I could...I see that my life is so much better because of Ray's influence in my life. I could never thank him enough for being there when I needed him most. My deepest condolences go out to his family, and to every one who thought of him as family. God bless us all with an expeditious return so that we will be reunited with our loved ones including Ray.
