Beloved Mother and Wife Sophie Marie Clark, 87, of Nampa, Idaho passed away Friday June 2, 2017.

Marie was born in Broken Bow, Nebraska, on November 18, 1929 to Archie and Mable Jones.  She was the youngest of five children.

She graduated from Nampa Senior High School in 1949.  She worked for Albertson before going to the Telephone Company where she worked as a Service Rep. in the Business office.  She was a people person, so she did very well at this job.  Anyone would have been lucky to know her.   She retired after 30 years from the Telephone Company.  Marie married Bernard L. Clark in 1951.  They had one child.

Marie enjoyed decorating her home with the special holidays, reading all kinds of books especially the Bible, camping, traveling, golfing, cooking, playing games, and doing all kinds of crafts.  She was a wonderful wife and a great mom.  Her special ministry was sending cards to friends, family, relatives and even acquaintances.

Marie is survived by her husband Shorty and daughter LeeOnna and Walter Faltinson of Boise, ID and one brother, Forest Jones of Cape Mears, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her parents,  Archie and Mable Jones, two brothers Franklin Jones of Roseburg, Oregon and Oscar Jones of West Linn, Oregon; one sister Elleen West of Lewiston, Idaho; nieces and nephews.  We will miss her so much.

Visitation will be Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, ID.  There will be a time of food and fellowship following the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise following the reception.
