Doris Leonor Berry, 95+, of Nampa went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Her husband Leonard was there waiting with open arms. Doris was born on February 25, 1922 in Nampa, Idaho to Willis and Martha Turner. She went to Nampa schools and almost completed her second year of High School. She left school to go to work at the Adelaide Theatre, one of the best jobs in town. She worked there as an usherette before advancing to the box office and later to cashier. After several years at the theater, Doris headed to California to look for better work. Her son, Ronald Demon Williams was born in Oakland. Doris came back to Idaho to help her elderly mother. She was a good daughter and loved her momma very much. After returning to Idaho, she went to work at Economy Cleaners until she was asked to go to work at Pacific Upholstery. Doris worked there for 30 years. Doris reconnected with her good friend Leonard Berry. They fell in love and were married in 1971 in Boise, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized for time and all eternity in the Boise LDS Temple. Doris loved to go dancing with her husband and loved to fix up and entertain in her beautiful homes. She was a faithful member of the Nampa 24th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Doris is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with the funeral service beginning at 11:00AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nampa's 24th Ward, 88 S. Happy Valley Rd. Nampa, ID 83687. Interment will be held following the service at Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
